ic as well as practical plane. The monograph increasing the importance of cultural landscapes in different points of view can contribute to the improvement of their importance. The idea of this book developed within the international project entitled ?Protecting Historical Cultural Landscapes to Strengthen Regional Identities and Local Economies? from the EU Intererg III B Cadses program (www.cadses.ar.krakow.pl). The project proved that it turned out that the multi-sectoral approach to the importance of cultural landscapes is significant. Moreover, it this project achieved many good results. The monograph entitled ?Cultural Landscape ?Across Disciplines? can be also useful in the works on the implementation of the European Landscape Convention since it turns out that many scientific disciplines might be useful for this objective.
